Chaos in the Night

A cold touch, clenching at my spine
And now another look
As my blood turns into wine.
Feelings, burning in anger
Screaming as I stare into the dark . . .
Bolting thought the night
Followed only by my shadow.
Still the cold touch lingers on
And everything is painted black.
My world began to shatter
And it all began to fade
I heard echos in the clatter
Of this broken world, I'd made.

Watching starry figures
Through my blurry eyes
The wind is cold and piercing
As ebony is the sky.
Idle . . . a voice, now I hear within
As darkness encircles my thoughts
For now they seem so grim.
Sirens call my name
And still they try to uncover me
Endlessly calling.
Driving me insane.
Moving further, as night raced on and on
Wondering if ever again I would see the sun

Cold and lifeless as I lay down
The world around me seems dark and dun.
Finding my dark hallways
No longer was I afraid
Watching though windows
While the darkness began to fade.
All in all while morning arrived
I gathered my thoughts
From where insanity derives.
But now that dawn had come
And the nightmare had subsided
I found myself questioning the truth in lies
As all my thoughts collided.
